Bernard Anthony “Skip” Parker, Jr., 49, of Summerville, husband of Lynanne Pecora Parker, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. SOCIAL DISTANCING AND FACE MASKS ARE MANDATORY Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 6 to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 4:30 PM at Cathedral of Praise, 2790 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston, SC 29418. Following the service starting at 6:00 PM A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at Fort Dorchester High School Football Stadium, 8500 Patriot Blvd, North Charleston, SC 29420. He served in the US Marine Corps. He was doing a job he truly loved and was dedicated as a wrestling and football coach at Ft. Dorchester High School. He always gave back to the community evidenced by giving his time for Toys to Tots and Community Clean Up and too many more to list. He was an incredible human being, mentor to so many kids who felt part of his family, pillar of strength and selfless. He loved Ft. Dorchester High School. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will always be loved and missed by anyone who knew him. Survivors including his wife, Lynanne, his parents, Bernard Parker (Pearl) and Lula Mae Scott Parker are three sons: Bernard Anthony Parker, III (Shannon) of Houston, TX, Johnathan Bernard Parker of Summerville and Drew Anthony Parker of Summerville; grandchildren: Barrett Anthony Parker, Alyana Raelyn Raglin and Elijah Lee Raglin all of Houston, TX, two sisters and one brother: Lashawn Parker of Summerville, Lonya Parker of Lexington and Nicky Parker of Summerville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, sisters in law and brothers in law.
