Jennifer Lea Montgomery

Jennifer Lea Montgomery, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 12, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1962, in Radford, Virginia, to Mary Rose Wilson (Quincy) and Stanley Lee Sifford (Ann). She attended Christiansburg High School in Virginia. Jennifer was a woman of Christian faith who found comfort in her relationship with the Lord. She was a loving and devoted woman whose family meant everything to her. She cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family, always finding joy in the simple moments they shared together. Some of her happiest memories were made around the campfire, camping with the people she loved most. Jennifer had many interests and enjoyed life in her own special way. She loved going to the beach, watching movies, reading, and crocheting. An avid reader, she could easily lose herself in a good book. She also enjoyed racing and had a wonderful sense of humor that could bring laughter to those around her. Jennifer was known for being easily frightened, a trait that often provided plenty of laughs and became just another one of the many things her family loved about her. Jennifer is survived by her parents, children, Kristi Hedrick and Ashley Montgomery-Hall(Matthew). She was preceded in death by her son, Randy Montgomery, who is survived by his wife, Lorie. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Jody Hedrick, Natalie Hedrick, Henley Montgomery, Tucker Montgomery, Lauren Rondini(James), Ari, and Waylon. Each of them held a special place in Jennifer's heart, and she treasured the love and memories they shared. She is also survived by her sister, Rhonda Driggers(James); her niece, Brooke Dangerfield(Cody), and their children, Wyatt and Callie Dangerfield; and her nephew, Dale Driggers(Cierra) and their son, James" Baby James" Driggers. The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Jennifer's friend and caregiver, Liz Silva, for the love, kindness, compassion, and care she provided to Jennifer. Her friendship and presence were a true blessing to Jennifer and her family. Jennifer's life was defined by the love she had for her family and the memories she created with them. Her laughter, sense of humor, kindness, faith, and the special way she made those around her feel loved will be deeply missed. While her family will feel her absence, they can find comfort in knowing that the love she gave them will remain a part of them forever. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those who were blessed to know and love her. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the hour of service. Burial will follow immediate after services at Alexander Cemetery Highway 176.
