Margaret Rose Kufen

Margaret Rose Kufen, age 87, of Orlando, wife of the late Glenn Richard Kufen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 15th 2021 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center due to complications from Alzheimer’s. She was with her daughter Debbie, granddaughter Erinn, and grandson-in-law Steve when she left this world and moved onto the next. Margaret was born on April 28, 1934 in St. Albans, England, daughter of the late Walter and Edith England. She married the love of her life Glenn Kufen and had two beautiful children. She loved artwork, painting, gardens, teaching Sunday school, tea time, reading, puzzles, family, tennis, soccer, antiquing, flea market, and her great grandkids. She taught art lessons in Summerville, SC for many years and started the annual art bazaar at Church. For the art bazaars, her husband would cut wood pieces for her in his workshop and she would paint them. They were an amazing team. She did many beautiful pieces on canvas using oils. She was an active member of Peace Presbyterian Church as well as a Deacon and an Elder. Her love of God manifested in her and she showed her light by being an example to us all. Her life is a testimony to many of us and is where the seeds of faith began. We are blessed with not only Margaret’s artistic gifts, but also her love and faith in God. We are so thankful to have known her, to have loved her, and to have been with her for so long. She will be deeply missed. Survivors include: daughter, Deborah Kufen of Orlando, FL; six grandchildren: Erinn Lindland (Steve), Megan Williams (Justin), Mallory Davids (Danny), Kristen Benton (Chris), Jason Kufen (Krista), and April Kufen; six great grandchildren: Ethan Lindland, Evan Lindland, Sophia Williams, Nicholas Williams, Chandler Davis, Hannah Davis; her favorite brother, Thomas England of St. Albans, England and many other siblings. In addition to her late husband Glenn and her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Glenn Kufen, Jr.; and five siblings. Donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 10 o’clock to 11 o’clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. A funeral service will begin at 11 o’clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Entombment will follow.
