Rebecca Michelle Bodiford, 43, of Goose Creek, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Trident Medical Center. Friends and family may call at James A. Dyal Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6 o’clock until 8 o’clock PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 1 o’clock PM at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coastal Center PGA, 9995 Jamison Road, Summerville, SC 29485 or Trio United Methodist Church, 976 Rowell Road, Salters, SC 29590. Becky was born on December 16, 1970 in Charleston, SC daughter of Bill and Linda Bodiford. Although she wasn’t born with wings an angel truly she was. Every day she was a blessing from God. She did not know the struggles in life that she would endure. She had a strong tolerance for pain. She had a beautiful smile that would melt your heart. Our Precious Savior Jesus Christ was ready for Becky to enter heavens gates and He took her in His arms. She was surrounded by her loving family. Becky is survived by her parents, Bill and Linda Bodiford; brother: Billy Bodiford (Lisa); sister: Fran Lewis (Darrell); nephews: Trae Williams (Cortney) and Brandon Bodiford; nieces: Ashlyn Bodiford and Brooke Bodiford; great nephews: Bradon Williams and Ben Williams. Becky meant the world to all of her special aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Siril and Gertice Bodiford, William Groce and Frances Groce Brown; special uncle: James Groce; cousin: Billy Groce; great grandmother whom she was named after, Rebecca Cooper. Becky’s family would most graciously like to thank the special care she received at Coastal Center. All of the dedicated staff who cared for her, made her smile and they enjoyed dressing her because she was small like a doll. The doctors and nurses who helped get her through some difficult times. The programmers who entertained Becky and other residents, giving their quality time and always helping them to express their self the best they could. The family would also like to thank the doctors, nurses and respiratory staff at Trident Hospital who helped Becky for many years. We are forever grateful for our families and life long friends who helped us during Beckys long journey in life.
