Anthony Wayne Moody

May 22, 1946 - March 15, 2022

Anthony Wayne Moody, 75, of N. Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Veterans Victory House. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 12 o’clock to 1 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 1 o’clock. Burial will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 12 o’clock at Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary St., Beaufort, SC 29902. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Veterans Victory House, 2461 Sidneys Rd., Walterboro, SC 29488. Wayne was born on May 22, 1946 in Dillon, SC, son of the late Hyman and Dalma Moody. He graduated from Hanahan High School and played football for them. He was a veteran in the US Army. Survivors include: Anthony “Tony” Wayne Moody, Jr. (Monica) of St. Stephens and Rhett A. Moody (Rhonda) of St. Stephens; four grandchildren: Sage Moody (Kim) of Lexington, Ethan Moody (Lacy) of Goose Creek, Erin Bland (Daniel) of Moncks Corner, and Brooke Moody of St. Stephen; one great grandchild, Sutton Moody; nine siblings: Danny Moody of N. Charleston, Carol Bellamy (Neal) of Cottageville, Donna Smith (Jack) of Huntersville, AL, Gena O’Neal (Mike) of Athens, GA, Hyman Moody, Jr. (Teresa) of Hanahan, Wanda Key (George) of Greenwood, Audrey O’Neal of Greenwood, Kenneth Moody (Rene) of Moncks Corner, Mike Moody (Gloria) of Moncks Corner; and stepmother, Elaine Varnadoe of Hanahan. In addition to his late parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Wayland Moody and Donald Moody). A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www.jamesadyal.com.
