Catherine Mary Boshell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Catherine Mary Boshell, 97, of Summerville, wife of the late William T. Boshell, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11 o’clock at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church, 28 Sumter St., Summerville, SC 29483. Burial will be at a later date at Florence National Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The Shriners Hospital at www.chrinerschildrens.org Kitty was born on August 20, 1924 in Manhattan, NY, daughter of the late John and Catherine Canavan. She enjoyed trivia and learned how to drive at the age of 73. Her grandchildren called her Mimi. She was a member and lector for years at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church. She was also a member Garden Clubs and started a canasta group in Pine Forest Country Club. Survivors include: five children: Catherine Mary Boshell of Griffin, GA, Barbara Anne Ray of Summerville, James Francis Boshell (Anita) of N. Charleston, Anthony Joseph Boshell (Lisa) of Lodi, WI and Brian John Boshell of Stonybrook, NY; grandchildren: Sean Burns (Susan), Colleen Burns, Amanda Boshell Bauer (Brody), Daniel Kavanaugh, Ashley Bessent (Trey), Ryan Kavanaugh, Kerry Cook (Josh), and James John Boshell; great grandchildren: Aiden Robert Burns, Emily Burns, Nicholas Bertschy, Olivia Bessent, and Aiden James Cook; brother, James Canavan (Maureen) of Gainsville, FL; and sister-in-law: Lynn Canavan.
