Faye Polk Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mattie “Faye” Polk, 86, of Summerville, wife of Paraneau A. Polk, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 10 o’clock to 11 o’clock at Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave, Summerville, SC 29483. A funeral service will follow at the church at 11 o’clock. Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. Faye was born on February 11, 1936 in Britton’s Neck, SC, daughter of the late Dozier Uriah and Creola Brown Pace. Faye was an active member of Summerville Baptist Church where she enjoyed her Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Summerville Pilot Club and the Princess of the Pines Red Hatters. She enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies and hummingbirds. She worked many years in banking including Cooper River Federal and First Federal Savings & Loan. Survivors in addition to her husband include: one daughter: Debbie Polk of Summerville, one son: Dwayne Polk of Round O, SC; and one granddaughter: Mollie (Gabe) Butler of Edgefield, SC. Mrs. Polk is also survived by many cousins. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Summerville Baptist Church.
