Gertrude Wittler Koenig, 94, of Summerville, wife of the late Peter Koenig passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Summerville Community Hospice House. A Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive guests after the service at James A. Dyal Fuenral Home. Flowers will be accepted. Gertrude was born December 6, 1927 in Birkesdorf, Germany, daughter of the late Carl and Charlotte Wittler. She enjoyed the fine arts and Charlie Brown. Survivors include: her son, Frederick Koenig (Marion) of Summerville; grandchildren: Christian Koenig (Jordan) of Columbia, SC and Michael Koenig (Michelle) of Baltimore, MD; great grandchildren: Quinn Koenig, Max Koenig, Josie Koenig, and Benjamin Koenig; and sister, Helen Huertgen.
