James Foster Davis, Jr. also known as Jim or Butch, 73, of Summerville, husband of Frances Melton Davis, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Summerville Medical Center. All services will be private. Jim was born on December 9, 1947 in Miami Springs, FL, son of Sylvia Frances Davis of Summerville and the late James Foster Davis. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and shooting pool. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his wife Frances and mother Sylvia are: two children: Bunny McElwee (Robert) of Moncks Corner and Robert Wallace (Anna) of Moncks Corner; four grandchildren: Isabella, Grace, Ethan, and Sophia; brother, William Gary Davis of Blackburg, SC; brother-in-law, Michael Leonard of White Sulphur Springs, MT; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father James, he was predeceased by daughter, Jacquelyn “Randie” Wallace and sister, Sandra Leonard.
