In 2007, she remarried at age 77 to childhood and family friend, LJ Dart and had the best seven years of her life back near family in Arkansas while traveling the country together until he died in 2014. Jean then moved back to Charleston near her children. She was a member of Summerville Baptist Church and absolutely loved her pastors and church friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her five sisters, Lelia, Bernita, Nadine, Audra, and Glee, her younger brother Kentley, her husband LJ, and her daughter Debra Jean Tanner.
