Marilyn Wheeler Langley

August 17, 1933 - May 9, 2022

Marilyn Wheeler Langley entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 9, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. Born in Ashland, KY, she was the youngest child of the late Frank and Neva Lemaster Wheeler. She was predeceased by the love of her life, C. Lyndon Langley and they were married for 61 years. They have lived in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Idaho to South Carolina with Lyn's assignments from Bettis Atomic Laboratory in PA. She retired from the Idaho Falls Oral Health Center in the office of Dr. Klingler and Dr. Boyce on their move to South Carolina. Marilyn graduated from Ashland Junior college with an associate degree in Education. Through the years, Marilyn was a Past Matron of an Eastern Star Chapter in PA, Director of Volunteers at the Baptist Homes in PA, Girl Scout leader, a church librarian and a KY Colonel. She and Lyn were true blue KY Wildcat fans. Wherever they have lived, they always called Ashland home. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Mary Lynne & Ken Boline and a devoted grandson, Tyler Boline. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Frances Lorena Christian, Phyllis Ann Whitt, her brother, Earle Gene Wheeler, all of Kentucky. She is also survived by two nieces, Susan Wheeler and Janice McKinley. Her nephews, Larry Wheeler and Joe, Steve, Tim and Dick Christian who were very special to her. Memorials may be made to the Summerville Baptist Church,Shriner Hospital for Children or Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation in Charleston, SC.
