Melvin Duane Martin, 64, of Cottageville, husband of Phyllis Martin, passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2022. Family and friends are invited to attend his gathering on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 1 o’clock to 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Melvin was born February 22, 1958 in Charleston WV, the son of Arnold Webster Martin and Dorothy Burford Martin.In addition to his wife, survivors include one son; Phillip (Rebecca) Arnold Martin of Cottageville; two brothers, Charles Martin and Kenneth (Mauriena) Martin. Mr. Martin is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Martin was predeceased by his parents and four siblings, Jimmy Joe Martin, Leroy Martin, Paulette Martin McCoy and Janet Martin Huffman. Mr. Martin will be sorely missed by his extended family and friends.Flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
