Ray Earl Whitt, Jr., 39, of Summerville, husband of Kori Layton Whitt, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Trident Medical Center with his wife by his side. JAMES A. Ray was born on December 18, 1980, son of the late Ray Earl Whitt and Brenda Faye Whitt. He enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. Ray loved wood working and cooking. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Survivors in addition to his wife Kori are: three children: Hayden Connor Jarrett, Mackenzie Ann-Marie Whitt, and Jackson Thomas Whitt all of Summerville, SC; five siblings: Tina Graham (Scott) of Augusta, GA, Tamara Nicks (Carol) of Pooler, GA, Crystal Rollison (Dana McCoy) of New Ellenton, SC, Rayette Godson (Chris) of Aiken, SC, and Dallas Whitt of Aiken, SC; many nieces and nephews; and mother and father in law: Cheryl & Greg Charpia and Chuck and Stacey Layton. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers: Darryl Whitt and Shawn Matlock; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
