Richard Fetterolf Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard L. Fetterolf, 79, of Summerville, husband of Barbara Fetterolf, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main St., Summerville, SC 29483. A funeral service will be on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 11 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Richard was born on February 19, 1943 in Erie, Pennsylvania, son of the late Glenna and Elizabeth Fetterolf. He was a devoted husband of 55 years to Barbara. He graduated from McClain High School and went to Devry Technical College. He then went to work at Bell South and retired from there after 39 years. After retirement he worked at Lowes on Main Street Summerville for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and wood working. He was a devoted Christian and served in his church as a deacon and money counter for many years. He enjoyed conversations and talking to people. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Barbara, survivors include three children: Rick (Melanie), Melissa and Udana (Aaron) three grandchildren: Martin, Esther, and Sebastian; honorary grandchildren: Kaycee, Shane Adam and Aidan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Journey Community Church Building Fund or Autism Speaks.
