October 13, 1923 - May 27, 2021

Shellie Myers, 97, of Ridgeville, wife of the late Harold L. Myers, passed away on May 27, 2021 at Life Care Center of Charleston. Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 4 o’clock at Springhill United Methodist Church Cemetery 2589 Old Gilliard Road Hwy 27 Ridgeville, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Springhill UMC, in C/O Deborah Sweatman 1167 Grapevine Road Ridgeville, SC 29472, Hospice of Charleston 4975 Lacross Rd, N. Charleston, SC 29406 or Amedisys Hospice Care 1027 Physicians Drive Suite 240 Charleston, SC 29414. Shellie was born on October 13, 1923 daughter of the late Jenkins and Manie Mitchum Chubb. She was a charter member of Springhill United Methodist Church and loved fishing and gardening. Survivors include: two daughters: Sandra Collins (Durwood) of Edisto Beach and Thelma L. Hensley (Dr. Charles) of Ridgeville; one son: Robert H. Myers (the late Alice) of Ridgeville; eight grandchildren: Lori Collins, Durwood Collins (Lara), Luell Hensley, David Hensley, Jason Hensley(Melissa), Kelley Jones (Dr. West), Dana Myers and Whitney Law (Brad); six great grandchildren: Blair Kisker, Carolina Kisker, Matthew Collins, Shaylah Grace Collins, Anna Claire Collins and Abby Jones; she was predeceased by one brother and five sisters. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to staff of Hospice of Charleston, Amedisys Hospice and the Life Care Center for the loving, kind and professional care.
