Shirley Coffin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirley Coffin, 89, of Meggett, wife of the late Grange Coffin, Jr., passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be Friday, June 17, 2022 at 2 o’clock at Christ St. Paul’s Church in Yonges Island, SC officiated by the Rev. Craige Borrett. Burial will follow at Christ St. Paul’s Church Cemetery. Shirley was born on May 16, 1933 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late John and Nettie Paul. Serving as a former president of the St. Paul’s Garden Club, she was passionate about gardening and her rose beds. She was very active in her church. She was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed. Survivors include: Children: Grange Coffin, III (Linda Sue) of Johns Island, Steven Haskell (Paula Joanne) of Meggett, Mark Louis Coffin of Meggett, Edith Coffin Reed (David Leland) of Ashburn, VA, and Jillian Paul Coffin of Meggett; Grandchildren: Grange Simmons Coffin, IV, Jennifer Sandell (Keith), Matthew Coffin, Joseph Anthony Marchione (Carla), Stephanie Heather Hutchinson (Garet), Christopher Paul Coffin, Heather Nicole Moe (Justin), and Sarah Anne Zimmer (Zane); 16 great grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Kathleen Coffin and 11 siblings.
