Tony Douglas Mitchum, 54, of Summerville, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022 at his residence. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 1 o’clock to 3 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Burial will follow the visitation at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC 29414. Flowers will be accepted. Tony was born on November 5, 1967 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Douglas and Lillian Mitchum. Tony formerly worked for the Town of Summerville, where he utilized his CDL qualifications for over 10 years. He enjoyed collecting guns and knives. He was recognized as a sharpshooter in his Army National Guard Reserve Unit. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with family. Survivors include: two sisters: Karen Corbin (Daniel) of Summerville and Sonya Mitchum of Moncks Corner; and three nieces: Taylor Varner (Tyler), Danielle Ellis (Hunter) and Hailey Corbin.
