Sharon Kelly

Mrs. Sharon Kelly (Nash) passed peacefully from this life on January 5th, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Summerville, South Carolina, after a prolonged illness. Sharon was born in Torrington, Wyoming, July 11th, 1940, and lived most of her life in Casper, Wyoming. In 2020, George and Sharon relocated to South Carolina to live with their daughter and her family, for health reasons. Throughout their lives, they enjoyed travelling together, but Wyoming was in their blood, and there wasn’t anywhere they would rather be. Sharon married George Kelly on June 4, 1959. They had one daughter, Connie, and an honorary daughter Cherie Teuscher-Hicken. George and Sharon were inseparable for 62 years, until January 12, 2022, when George went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ. George and Sharon were doting grandparents to their grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sharon was a loyal, loving wife, and a generous and caring mother. She was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Sharon was a member of the Mills Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary, was an Avon Lady, and was a league bowler for years. She loved the great outdoors. The Kellys enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting with family and friends, and Sharon was a master at planning and provisioning extended stays in the wilderness. She was an amazing cook, in camp and at home, and “Great Gram’s Recipes” will be treasured for generations to come. In addition to her beloved husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Alberta Moore, her brothers Larry, Dale and Donald Nash, an infant sister Karen, sisters-in-law Stella Nash and Carolyn Tucker, nephew Jerry Tucker, and many other close friends and relatives. Sharon is survived by her daughter Connie Epperson, son-in-law Tom Epperson, grandchildren Bill Epperson, Kelly, and Margie Epperson, and four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kaitlyn, Sarah, and Lily. She is also survived by George’s aunt Darlene Wolfe, her cousin Rita Brewbaker and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. A Mass of resurrection will be celebrated at St. John The Beloved Catholic Church, in Summerville, South Carolina, on February 23rd, 2024, at 1:30pm. Both George and Sharon’s ashes will be interred at the Kelly family’s traditional cemetery near Devil’s Tower, in spring or summer 2024.
